Ukulele Max welcomes you to our Group Ukulele Classes!
The ukulele has gained popularity in recent years as a terrific instrument for the young child. Using the Ukulele in the Classroom method to teach his young students their way around frets, strings, chords and more, Max teaches the Ukulele in a fun, laid-back group atmosphere that encourages early success. A perfect start to your child's study of stringed instruments and a great jumping off point for guitar, our group Ukulele classes will enhance your child's musicality, rhythm and pitch as well as help to build confidence, listening and ensemble skills. And, it's a blast!

Our newly established Heart Song Academy introduces you to Ukulele Max! A retired band teacher, Max Willard has been playing Ukulele since he was 12 but tells us that he has been "playing unceasingly" in the last few years as ukulele has been making a comeback in popularity. His wife describes him as a uke-aholic. He teaches privately, attends Ukulele festivals all over the Western US and belongs to the Utah Ukulele Society. He tells us that "Ukulele is an amazingly versatile instrument and probably more fun than anyone deserves to have playing music." We are delighted that he is joining our educator team and know that your children will love his teaching style and his ukulele prowess.
